Lady M probably never knew that people can be nice. She came to us because she could barely walk, was very skinny and was turned out in a very large field with a Stallion and a Jack (who are both in a permanent home now).

As the Vet was called we were told that she was somewhere between 25-30 years old and has a heart problem. We did not know if she would make it through the night. We started on feeding her in a 2-hour rhythm, gave her fresh water and hay. By the time her 3rd feeding was scheduled, her heart gave out and she died.

We believe Lady M knew that we would take care of her and that she was safe here. Coyotes would not bother her here when she laid down. And maybe.... just maybe..... that gave her a chance to let go and move on to a nice place with lots of love and food...

God bless you girl, we miss you dearly!
