Freckles

Freckles "Clear Creek Lass" was born in Ohio, and was a well trained Appaloosa mare. As she got to be older people lost interest in her and Freckles turned into a lawn ornament. The owner turned her over to Monika, Founder of DTHR, who at that time lived in Ohio. She took Freckles in and gave her a good life and all the love and care Freckles could possibly need. Once Monika and her family moved to Montgomery Freckles moved with them.

Six months after the move Freckles started to have colic's and was taken to Auburn University where she stayed for observation. An exploratory surgery was performed and large areas of dead colon was discovered as well as e-coli had moved into her lungs due to the leaks in her colon. At that time it was decided that it was in Freckles' best interest to put her to sleep humanely while she was still in surgery.

Freckles, we miss you bunches but we know there is no pain where you are now.
